Application

Leadstab AO 800 is a dialkyl ester of thiodipropionic acid, used as a thiosynergist heat stabilizer in combination with phenolic antioxidants. Typical addition levels range from 0.05% to 1.0%. It is used in polymer materials that require long-term thermal stability, such as polyethylene power cables, XLPE power cables, HDPE pipe, polypropylene, polyolefins for under-hood automotive applications, styrenic homo- and copolymers, and adhesives. When used with a primary phenolic antioxidant, Leadstab PS 800 provides effective general-purpose heat stabilization. It features the highest compatibility and lowest melting point among common thiosynergists, ensuring easy incorporation into the final product.
